Make the world more Curved

Human body is one of the best designs in the Universe, perfected over millions of years and there are lot of things that we can learn from our body on design.. One thing which hurts me on design is those sharp edges, check your body, how many sharp edges do you have, nothing! everything curved, smoothened, only exception is our teeth. Look at the earth, Sun, Moon, Planets, Space everything curved, smoothened..

Look at the car tail lamps, most of them are of Polygon shape, having sharp edges.. Think of a Circle, Ellipse, Parabolic shaped tail lamps, won't that look nice.. A Ellipse shaped mirror will look great than a rectangular shaped one, think of curved dining table, TV, Laptops, Land-line Phones, Charger, Note books, bags, all those around you, won't that look nice when it's curved rather than a typical rectangular shape.. Off-course there are limitations, the surface area is lesser than that of a rectangle of similar size but in places where bigger surface area is not a concern or becomes an advantage, won't that look great.. So lets make the world more curved than what it is now..

Where are you?

Zoom out and see the bigger picture! Where are you on this Milky Way Galaxy?

Love what you do or Do what you Love

Recently saw a proverb which says "The only way to do great work is to love what you do". i deny! And the only way to do great work is to do what you love..

Check all those who left their legacy or changed the world, they did what they loved..

On Existence of God

It becomes irrelevant how much you are convinced on the non existence of God. The Human mind is so fragile that it needs the support of God at times and the invention of God has been good for the society than otherwise.. So God is there or not, it's going to exist forever and let it be!..

Ramanujan - The Genius

Ramanujan movie Director Rajasekaran on his film

“In India, we don’t celebrate geniuses – we celebrate only mediocrity,” said Rajasekaran. “We don’t know how to nurture a genius. Ramanujan was not nurtured as a genius should be – his father was not impressed with his maths skills as a child and when he joined college he was told by the principal, ‘We don’t need a genius in one subject; we prefer an average student across all subjects.’ Even today, in India it is the same story - society favours average students and geniuses are hardly encouraged and treated as special and receive the nurturing they deserve as compared to Western society.”

“Even if someone is brilliant, in our society we think it’s more important for the person to fulfil all other aspects – he or she needs to be a good spouse, good child, good human being, good parent, etc. We don’t allow a child’s intrinsic talent to develop and allow the child to pursue his or her passion. The parents decide what the child will grow up to be and in this process, the child’s brilliance dies out. In Ramanujan’s case, in spite of all that went against him, he still went on to prove himself a genius.”

Ramanujan may not be a commercial masala-filled Tamil flick but the director’s message is clear: a genius should not be treated as ‘abnormal’, but as someone who is special.

Geniuses

Recently read a blog in Linkedin which said Geniuses are one's who act, who don't over think and are not perfectionists.. Actually its exactly the opposite and it's the problem of Geniuses, they don't act fast, they always over think and they always aim for perfection. Probably the geniuses who limit these natural inhibitions would be known to the world!

How perfectly Symmetrical are your Products?

How Symmetrical are your Products?
Human Body is one of the most Symmetrical (left- right bilateral Symmetry to the tune of 97%) product externally and a Google search on that brought out surprising results on why we are symmetrical outside and not symmetrical inside.. Check out this..
https://blogs.stsci.edu/livio/2012/08/28/why-are-we-symmetrical/
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/mario-livio/why-are-we-symmetrical_b_1836534.html

Humans or Animals love to mate perfect symmetrical partners and would love to use symmetrical products and that's the reason most of our existing products are also symmetrical. But the question is the perfectionism in the symmetricity, Not a big deal but are we taking a note of it, is your product 100% symmetric to the extent of the smallest Nut & Bolt.. Not really, I have seen hundreds of cars which could easily be symmetrical but are not. Is your logo symmetrical? TATA, Renault, Honda, Mercedes are some of the symmetrical logo's but most of them are not, should we have one? off course Humans/Animals would love to!..

I personally would love to have a car with perfect symmetrical exteriors, Logo, Name, Number plate etc..What about your House, your gadgets, your workstation?

Going Crazy on TED Talks

Going crazy on TED Talks!, had some time today being a holiday and had my eureka moment when i watched this video..

Are we in contol of our own decisions - When the decision making becomes complex, we tend to make somebody else take our decisions or we don't take decisions & leave it to chance, oh my god!, that's what we are doing all these days.. So what do we do, take decisions all the time, write down the decisions not taken so far and decide, not so easy isn't it. But lets think about it!..

The power of Introverts - Pretty popular one, but when you listen for the second time you understand the depth of it..It goes like this..
Extroverts: Take things out of your suitcase “every chance you get and grace us with your energy and your joy.”
Introverts: “You probably have the impulse to guard very carefully what’s inside your own suitcase. And that’s okay. But occasionally . . . I hope you will open up your suitcases for other people to see, because the world needs you and it needs the things you carry.”

Also check out the TED Video "why you will fail to have a great career"
You will fail to have a great career unless...
We find lot more reasons like family, money, kids, age to justify why we fail to have a great career and we become the reason for the failure and not exactly those reasons.. So unless, unless...

Whom do you vote for?

Whom do you vote for in the coming Lok Shaba Elections in India?

1. If you couldn't decide filter the options available..
2. Should we vote for Regional/Smaller parties for the Lok shoba elections even though they created Instability & Scams in the past. (Read Bimal Jalan Book on Emerging India). If Regional/Smaller parties wants to do something good for the state, let them do it by winning Assembly Elections.
3. If still not able to decide, think whom do you vote against rather than whom do you vote for. That will leave you with very few options
4. But never ever think of voting for a candidate just because he/she is winnable, your vote matters a lot even if your candidate loses.

Change Yourself

Never let your negative thoughts take away ur action
Start the day with something easy which then can give you momentum
But keep in mind First things first
Never postpone things even if it means perfection

Ideas and Execution

Last week, was in my kid Annual day function, In one of the dance event, very good choreography planned by the teachers, but the kids failed to imitate any of that, teachers were not happy and the audience as well..

This happens many times in Organisations, should know what they are capable of rather than what they want to do..

Changing the world

“Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.” - Leo Tolstoy, the Russian novelist
